On Thursday afternoon, Blizzard Entertainment announced the next set of content coming to their digital card game, Hearthstone, and the title's popular auto chess game mode, Battlegrounds.

Beginning on Tuesday, September 8, players will be able to team up with seven of their friends in a lobby for a match of Battlegrounds against one another as part of their Forbidden Library event. Currently, the game permits only two friends to a match but the long-awaited announcement will now allow groups to compete against one another.  Not only will this change permit casual matches between pals to include more friends but the competitive scene can now hold proper lobbies with all competitors playing at once.

Additionally, Blizzard announced that three new playable heroes will be joining the pool on Tuesday as well. On brand with the current expansion, Scholomance Academy, three of the school's professors can be selected: Lord Barov, Jandice Barov, and Forest Warden Omu. While their hero power's are currently unknown, players won't have to wait long to find out what each has in store.
