Longzhu penalized for failing to submit roster on time; now shares third place with SSG

The 2017 LCK Spring Split just took an unexpected twist, as Longzhu Gaming will have to share third place with Samsung Galaxy for failing to submit their coaching staff roster for Round 2 on time.

Riot Games announced (Link in Korean) that they will penalize Longzhu based on Clause 2.8.3 and 2.3, which respectively state that the teams need to submit their roster of coaching staff and players at least ten days before a round starts. According to Riot Games, Longzhu failed to include Coach Jungsu Kim, who was previously with Team Dignitas, on the team roster.

While this penalty wouldn't usually lead to a set score loss, Longzhu already received a 'Caution' penalty for tardiness. Therefore, they will lose a set score in the leaderboard, allowing Samsung Galaxy to be placed third, together with Longzhu.
