Cloud9 dominated its first match of the 2020 League of Legends Championship Series Spring Playoffs, sweeping 100 Thieves behind a dominant performance by Mid Laner Yasin "Nisqy" Dincer. C9 drafted Zoe in all three of its games, and Nisqy made sure he delivered on his signature champion.

As the 1st seed in the Playoffs, Cloud9 was expected to choose 4th seed FlyQuest as its opponent, but the selection of 3rd seed 100 Thieves was assumedly due to the difference in ability between Nisqy and 100 Thieves Mid Laner Tommy "Ryoma" Le. Nisqy dominated in the individual matchup, and in game 2, did more damage on Zoe than the entire 100 Thieves team combined.

Cloud9 will face off next week against 2nd seed Evil Geniuses, the latter of whom defeated FlyQuest the day prior to C9's shellacking of 100 Thieves. 100 Thieves will face off against 5th seed TSM on the losers' side of the 2020 LCS Spring Playoffs bracket, and FlyQuest will test its mettle against 6th seed Golden Guardians. The losing teams will be eliminated, and the winning teams will play each other for a chance at a top 3 finish in the post-season.
