Remedy Entertainment announced that 'Control Resonant', the sequel to 'Control', will be playable for general attendees at Tokyo Game Show 2026.
The demo will be available on PlayStation 5 at the Sega booth in Hall 4 (04-N01). Visitors can take control of protagonist Dylan Faden to explore Manhattan, twisted by a supernatural crisis.
'Control Resonant' is a third-person supernatural action-adventure RPG. Imprisoned for years by the Federal Bureau of Control (FBC), Dylan heads to Manhattan, where an unidentified reality-warping entity has appeared. As he masters his newly acquired powers, he searches for his sister, FBC Director Jesse Faden, while pursuing the truth behind the threat that has spread beyond the Oldest House.
Players can explore various districts of ruined Manhattan and grow Dylan's supernatural abilities. Throughout his progression, players decide how his powers awaken and evolve, while relationships with surrounding characters also impact Dylan's journey.
Combat utilizes the environment, elemental abilities, and the shapeshifting melee weapon 'Aberrant'. The Aberrant offers different attack styles by changing forms into weapons such as a two-handed hammer and dual blades.
'Control Resonant' will release digitally on September 24 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Physical versions for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S will launch on October 15, while the Mac version is scheduled to release within the year via Steam and the App Store. Remedy Entertainment is handling development and publishing, with Annapurna Pictures participating as co-investor and co-producer.
