Riot Games Esports Media Preview Day kicked off just 23 hours before the start of the 2021 Mid-Season Invitational, and while Riot Games shared some information on the upcoming League of Legends esports international showdown, the developer also shared plenty more upcoming information for its other titles.

League of Legends: Wild Rift, the mobile version of Riot's flagship multiplayer online battle arena, will kick off its first global tournament in 2021. Little information is known about the esports event except for the fact that it will take place within the last three months of the year. This could imply that the event will have some coordination in scheduling, similar to how the Valorant Championship Tour Stage 2 Masters will take place in Reykjavik, Iceland following MSI 2021's conclusion.

Speaking of VALORANT, despite VCT's start being nearly three weeks away, Riot Games teased that Stage 3 of the VCT Masters would be hosted in Berlin, Germany and would feature an expansion of sixteen teams as opposed to the ten competing in Stage 2 later this month. The winner of Stage 3 will immediately qualify for VALORANT Champions, the competitive scene's equivalent to the League of Legends World Championship.

The next Teamfight Tactics esports event was also teased for October 2021 in China, which as of now, marks the first offline competitive TFT event of the year.

Riot also touched on MSI and its greater esports ecosystem in a few ways before the conclusion of the Riot Games Esports Media Day broadcast. Host James "Dash" Patterson interviewed DWG KIA mid laner Heo "ShowMaker" Su and MAD Lions AD carry Matyáš "Carzzy" Orság about the event.

Riot Games also revealed new esports partnerships with Verizon, Spotify, Cisco and HyperX. HyperX joins VALORANT as the Official Keyboard and Mouse Partner of the VALORANT Champions Tour, while the partnerships with Spotify and Cisco will be LoL esports specific. Lastly, Verizon will be the Official 5G and Wireless Network Services Partner for both League of Legends Esports and VALORANT Esports, and both will be featured across the Mid Season Invitational and VCT Masters 2.
