[UPDATED 4/3] Online IGEC Panel: "Esports & Well-being: Burnout, Fatigue, & Mental Health"

Our annual esports networking conference, IGEC (Inven Global Esports Conference), has been postponed in order to adhere to social distancing and flatten the Corona Virus curve. In place of an in-person IGEC filled with panels and talks, we are moving to a digital format to keep our readers and panelists safe amid the COVID-19 crisis.

Our second panel of many more to come is the unavoidable topic everyone must face: "Esports & Well-being: Burnout, Fatigue, & Mental Health."  This panel discussion will address the everpresent importance of awareness regarding mental wellness in esports and gaming, which is one that has been emphasized in the lockdown-like state of society following the COVID-19 outbreak.

This panel is scheduled for today, April 3rd, at 2:00 PM PST.

The Participants

Inven Global's Director of Corporate Strategy, Nick D'Orazio will be moderating the upcoming panel. Nick also moderated the first digital panel for IGEC 2020: "Esports in quarantine: how to survive the new normal".

Joining Nick D'Orazio on the online panel will be CEO of G-Science Ryan Scollan. G-Science is an esports performance company that strives for optimization through sports science and data analytics.

Esports physical therapist and owner of 1-HP Matt Hwu, who works with esports organization Counter Logic Gaming and Overwatch League franchise Los Angeles Gladiators as a Performance and Esports Medicine Specialist, will also bring his expertise to the panel.

Twitch streamer Jessy "She Snaps" Taylor will be bringing her expertise on mental health awareness and advocacy to the IGEC panel. She Snaps also has a youtube channel and an official website for her blog, podcast and other forms of content.

Rounding out the panel is founder of Rise Above the Disorder Jason Docton. RAD promotes mental health awareness in a multitude of ways, including livestreams, fundraising to make therapy more accessible, and partnerships within the gaming and esports communities.
