Cloud9 Head Coach Bok "Reapered" Han-gyu has won the Coach of the Split Award for the 2020 League of Legends Championship Series Spring Split. Reapered guided C9 to a 17-1 record and a subsequent clinching of the #1 seed for the 2020 LCS Spring Playoffs.

Cloud9 was historically dominant this spring. The only other two teams to finish a split with a record of 17-1 were Immortals in the 2016 NA LCS Spring Split and TSM in the 2016 NA LCS Summer Split. The disappearance of reigning champion Team Liquid as a competitor further elevated C9's dominance over the rest of the league. In its first match of the 2020 LCS Spring Playoffs, C9 swept 3rd seed 100 Thieves into the losers' side of the bracket.

Reapered won the Coach of the Split in a landslide vote. At 133 votes, Reapered dwarfed the second place total of Evil Geniuses Head Coach Heo "Irean" Yeong-cheol's 61 votes. 100 Thieves Head Coach Tony "Zikz" Gray came in third place with 41 votes.

Cloud9's next match in the 2020 LCS Spring Playoffs is against 2nd Evil Geniuses, who has established itself as the clear second horse in the race behind C9. The winner of the best-of-five series between C9 and EG will be guaranteed a top 3 finish in the post-season.
