On the 4th, T1 lost 2-3 to BLG in the bracket stage of the 2026 League of Legends Mid-Season Invitational (MSI) at the Daejeon Convention Center's Exhibition Hall 2. As a matchup between two title contenders, the series was a fierce battle that went to a full set, with BLG ultimately defeating T1 and sending them to the lower bracket of the bracket stage.

In the deciding fifth game, BLG got off to a strong start when 'Xun's' Kindred, alongside 'Viper's' Ashe and 'On's' Seraphine, took down 'Oner's' Trundle. BLG maintained their momentum by securing two Dragon stacks to control objectives and catching 'Faker's' Taliyah in the mid lane.
Despite the slight deficit, T1 remained calm and played patiently. They conceded up to three Dragon stacks while looking toward the late game, and 'Faker's' Taliyah eventually secured a first kill on 'Knight's' Syndra in the bottom lane. Shortly after, a skirmish broke out in the mid lane where BLG caught 'Keria's' Lulu and used the Rift Herald to quickly destroy the mid lane's second-tier tower.
T1 managed to survive a dangerous situation in the top lane where 'Doran's' Gnar was exposed, successfully kiting the opponents while the rest of the team gained advantages in the mid and bottom lanes. The gold gap remained narrow, making the next Dragon spawn the turning point of the match.
While BLG focused on the Dragon, T1 turned their attention to Baron. They attempted to secure the objective by using Taliyah's ultimate skill to block the path, but they lacked the damage to finish it. BLG collapsed on them from behind, secured the Baron, and eliminated four of T1's members, leaving only Taliyah alive. BLG then secured the Dragon, sealing a 3-2 victory over T1 in what was a disastrous turn of events for the team.
Following their loss to BLG, T1 will face FURIA in a lower bracket match on July 6.
