In the second round of the 2026 League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK) regular season held at LoL Park in Jongno on the 9th, Hanjin Brion defeated Nongshim RedForce 2-0, extending their winning streak to four matches and eight consecutive sets. Their performance, marked by multiple well-executed plays built on cohesive teamwork, clearly demonstrated the momentum Hanjin Brion currently enjoys.
Hanjin Brion took the lead in Game 1. After 'Gideon' Kim Min-seong's Xin Zhao and 'Romer' Jo U-jin's Ryze secured first blood via a mid-lane gank, they quickly rotated to pick up more kills in the bottom lane. 'Casting' Sin Min-je's Rumble even managed a solo kill. Hanjin Brion maintained their lead by consistently finding picks with Ryze. Their use of Ryze's ultimate to catch out 'Diabl' Nam Dae-geun's well-farmed Caitlyn was particularly impressive.
However, around the 26-minute mark, Nongshim RedForce successfully ambushed and picked off Ryze, leading to a decisive team fight victory that leveled the playing field. But in the very next turn, Hanjin Brion used Ryze's ultimate to catch Caitlyn again, followed by a kill on Annie, reclaiming the momentum. They continued to find successful picks through superior positioning and secured Baron as their reward. Pushing into the top lane, Hanjin Brion gave their opponents no time to recover and destroyed the Nexus.
The early battleground for Game 2 was the bottom lane. Both teams' mid-laners and junglers persistently targeted the area, trading kills back and forth without either side gaining a clear advantage. Nongshim RedForce seemed to seize the momentum after sweeping up four kills without losing a single player in a final bottom-lane skirmish, but Hanjin Brion responded by winning a subsequent fight in the top side of the map. The game remained tense as both teams continued to trade kills.
Around the 24-minute mark, Hanjin Brion turned the tide with a surprise Baron take. Although Nongshim RedForce tried to buy time by picking off 'Namgung' Namgung Seong-hun's Nautilus, 'Casting' Sin Min-je's Twisted Fate used his ultimate to re-engage, and Hanjin Brion showcased textbook hit-and-run tactics to secure a massive victory. After resetting, Hanjin Brion pushed down the mid lane, wiped out the remaining Nongshim RedForce champions, and destroyed the second Nexus.
