In a dazzling ceremony that commemorated the standout performers of the 2023 LCK season, the 2023 LCK Awards recognized players across various categories, including Player of the Split, Regular Season MVP, and the most prestigious title of Player of the Year.

The Player of the Split awards were presented to players who accrued the most Player of the Game (POG) points during the spring and summer regular seasons. In the spring, the honor belonged to Ryu “Keria” Min-seok, and in the summer, it was a shared triumph for Kim “Canyon” Geon-bu and Kim “Zeka” Geon-woo. Keria secured 13 POG selections during the spring season, while Canyon and Zeka both earned 12 each during the summer.

Due to health issues, Keria was unable to attend, but Canyon and Zeka shared their sentiments. Canyon expressed, "Receiving this award is thanks to my former teammates." As he is leaving Dplus KIA and moving on to Gen.G in 2024, he added, "Next year, with new teammates, I hope to achieve even greater honors." Zeka remarked, “It's an honorable award. I will strive to receive it again next year with excellent performance.”

Subsequently, the Regular Season MVPs were unveiled, with Keria and Son “Lehends” Si-woo being the chosen ones. Lehends humbly remarked, "I consider it a meaningful award. I had many outstanding teammates, and anyone could have received it without surprise,” and added, “I think Aiming and I did equally well, but I'll take the award."

The Positional Player of the Year awards followed, and T1 claimed the glory, sweeping across all categories.

In the climax of the ceremony, the spotlight was on the Player of the Year category, featuring four nominees: Choi “Zeus” Woo-je, Jeong “Chovy” Ji-hoon, Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok, and Keria. The grand laureate, after securing his fourth Summoner's Cup by winning the World Championship after seven years, was none other than Faker.

Accepting the accolade, Faker expressed his gratitude, saying, "I could be here thanks to many people. I'm grateful to the fans who show a lot of interest. I don't think I came here with my strength alone. I'm thankful to my supporting family, friends, teammates, and everyone. I don't consider that I've achieved a lot yet, and I want to dedicate the glory of the fourth award to my teammates."
