On Dec. 12, Excel Esports announced their roster for 2023. At the beginning of the stove league, Excel Esports parted ways with most of their roster. As of this announcement, they have filled in all roles on the starting roster.

The only player remaining from the previous season is bot laner Patrik "Patrik" Jírů, who has been playing for Excel Esports since 2020. Coaches Joey "YoungBuck" Steltenpool and Sng "Nelson" Yi-Wei will also remain on the team.

In the top lane, they signed veteran Andrei "Odoamne" Pascu, who previously played for Rogue and reached two consecutive World Championships. The jungler was Andrei "Xerxe" Dragomir, who returned from the LCS mid-2022 and joined Astralis.

Excel Esports’ pick for their mid lane was Vincent "Vetheo" Berrié, and their pick for support was Raphaël "Targamas" Crabbé.

2022 wasn’t too great for Excel Esports. They finished 6th in both spring and summer splits and failed to reach Worlds. It was an improvement from the previous years, though, as they didn’t make the playoffs.
