The Overwatch community was shocked to see Kim "GodsB" Kyeon-bo leave the Hangzhou Spark late last night.

In a tweet posted on June 22, Hanzghou Spark said farewell to GodsB, saying he would always be the team's "big brother." The tweet also included an AMA where GodsB answered questions fans had about his hobbies, relationship with teammates, and his in-game activities.

Here are some things GodsB, a usually reserved player, revealed about himself.

  • His favorite Chinese food is beef noodles and dim sum.
  • He likes singing and it makes him happy.
  • To get ready each morning, GodsB uses the practice range, does a few quick play rounds, and then ranked.
  • He's always loved FPS since he was a kid and he finds them to be the most interesting heroes.
  • His favorite non-DPS hero is Reinhardt, though.
  • In his spare time, GodsB likes to listen to music and watch dramas, recently some horror ones.

Despite some of the fun information fans learned about the veteran Overwatch player, the situation was still very upsetting for Overwatch League fans. GodsB has been with Hangzhou Spark since 2018 as one of the original members. A lot of fans shared their memories of watching GodsB or wearing his jersey.

"I remember my first time wearing the Hangzhou Spark jersey and the first time playing with my teammates on stage. My journey as a Spark player is about to end. But I will cherish the journey I had with everyone," GodsB told fans.

The hitscan DPS star spent most of 2019 and 2020 playing with McCree and Tracer. In 2021, the Spark signed additional players and GodsB didn't see as much play time as the meta continued to shift.

“Thank you for accompanying me in the previous journey,” GodsB said to fans. “See you in the next one.”

Luckily for fans, this is not the last they'll see GodsB. The Overwatch League pro stated that he's actively looking for a new team. Many people on social media even indicated that GodsB "deserved a better team" than the Spark anyway.

Meanwhile, the Hangzhou Spark have had a lot of changes lately. They let go of head coach Hwang "Pajion" Ji-sub after a long losing streak earlier in the season. They now have a 5-3 record heading into the Summer Showdown tournament. The team, sans GodsB, will face the Los Angeles Valiant on June 25.
