Hearthstone pros compete in first major Artifact tournament.

Valve released its digital card game Artifact on November 28. The following day — on November 29 — pro gamers got the chance to test their skills and show the real strength to win in a new Collectible Card Game thanks to WePlay! eSports Newmedia Group. 32 players are competing online for the $10,000 bout when the talents are casting from the studio in Kyiv, Ukraine. The first winners of the tournament opening day came to light.

WePlay! will hold the world's first and one-of-a-kind Artifact tournament from November 29 till December 04 in Kyiv, Ukraine. Its viewers have a chance to learn the current meta as well as the best moves and tricks from prominent CCG pro gamers — the famous pros from Hearthstone, Magic the Gathering and Gwent. LifeCoach and WifeCoach, Reynad, MegaMogwai, and ImpetuousPanda are among gaming stars participating in the tournament online. Joel “Heffaklumpen” Larsson, the winner of Artifact promo tournament hosted by Valve during beta testing, also joins the celebrated guests. The tournament is streamed on weplay.tv and official Twitch channel.

The tournament is casted by Darick "CHARM3R" Oswalt, Shannon "SUNSfan" Scotten, Sean “Swim” Huguenard, Miguel "Mogwai" Guerrero and David “Impetuous Panda” Nolskog.

The opening day of the tournament revealed the names of the first winners. Adrian “LifeCoach” Koy won the group A game, leaving behind Raphael “GameKing” Iciren, Cong “StrifeCro” Shu, and Mark “Petrify” Fittipaldi. The group B game resulted in Stanislav "Luckbox" Cifka winning the stage and conquering Joel "Heffa" Larsson, Pavel Beltiukov, and Sebastian "Xixo" Bentert.

WePlay! Artifact Mighty Triad: Strength is the first of three tournaments in Artifact Mighty Triade series with a total prize pool of $50,000. As far as the first one, it has a $10,000 prize pool.

Artifact is an immersive and visually stunning collectible card game unlike any other. It is a fine combo of deeply strategic, competitive gameplay and the rich setting of Dota 2.
