On the 8th of November, the host for EU LCS, Eefje “Sjokz” Depoortere announced that she will be continuing her career as a freelancer through her social media account.
Now known as one of the most renowned figures in the LoL scene, she has not only been the host for the EU LCS, but the main interviewer/reporter for many other Riot hosted international tournaments for the past 5 years.
According to her Facebook statement, although she is now a freelancer, she stated that her relationship with Riot Games will continue in the future. Then she added that she will still be involved in the next 2019 EU LCS. “First and foremost, let me make this clear: EU LCS will still be a huge priority for me in 2019 and you will still see me on camera next season!” said Sjokz.
However, Sjokz did not yet state any concrete plans for her new freelance career. In the meantime, it seems that she will be taking some personal time off to catch up with her family and friends.
