He has still got it.

In a best-of-five match that came down to a singular point of health, one of the most successful competitive Hearthstone players of all-time, who now focuses most of his energy on streaming, Thijs Molendijk, took down XiaoT in the annual China vs Europe Championship 2018. First prize was an Aston Martin DB11 luxury car, valued at over $175,000 euros, which Thijs gladly took the keys to and sat in moments after his victory.

With Thijs down two games to one in a best-of-five series, XiaoT laid on the aggression in games four and five, forcing his opponent to claw back from single digit health totals against his Odd Hunter deck.

All the eventual winner could do in the final moments of game 5 was hold his face in anguish, hoping and praying XiaoT couldn’t come up with one point of damage off the top of his deck.

Upon finding the final lethal of the event featuring 16 of the best European and Chinese players in the world, Thijs couldn’t help but look up at the sky in disbelief, his heart skipping a beat after the intense match that occurred.

Included in the field of competitors at the event were household names within the esports scene, such as, hunterace, Kolento, BunnyHoppor, Orange, Rdu, XHope and more.
