EDG Ray: “Before leaving C9, Impact told me that he will see me at Worlds. I most definitely want to see Impact."


Debuting for EDG and former C9 top laner, what will Ray’s thoughts be for participating in the 2018 World Championships?

On the 2nd at the LoL Park 2018 Play-Ins World Championships, Ray has won 2 consecutives games.

During the first game against Infinity Esports, with a 1-0-5 score, Ray carried the early game scirmishes with his Ornn ultimate. In the second game against Dire Wolves, Ray showed how impactful the recent buffs were on Darius. With a 1-1-5 score, Ray was the backbone for his team and also backdoored for the 2-0 win.

After the games, Ray expressed that he was not pleased in the performance he showed in today’s games. He commented that he was unable debut as much while on C9. Despite debuting for EDG today, Ray kept clarified his disappointment in his performance.

Ray revealed that his realistic goal for Worlds is to qualify for the quarterfinals. He explained, “At least, I want to get of our groups. While winning is the best outcome, I really want to, at the bare minimum, qualify for the quarterfinals. Before leaving C9, Impact told me that he will see me at Worlds. I most definitely want to see Impact.”

For the most challenging adversary, Ray has picked RNG as the team to be wary of. He concluded by saying RNG has an extremely good team atmosphere. Ray also rated RNG as a team to display better results than that of scrims.
