Looking for Org, the most international South American Contenders team, is still living up to their namesake

Marcio "Godman" Farias plays for Looking for Org which placed 3rd on the Group Stage for South American Contenders.  They are currently in Semifinals with Isurus Gaming as their next opponent.  I asked about the challenges of being the most international team in SA Contenders, as well as what teams want from SA Contenders: mainly, bigger prize pools and a LAN finals.

How did you come up with your name?

I came up with it when I was 9 playing Counter-Strike/Half-Life with my friends in a cyber cafe near my home and never bothered the change it once I started playing online some years later.

Has Looking for Org received any offers yet?

We haven't received any offers yet, organizations in the region are not interested in Overwatch since there are no LAN tournaments or investment for them to want an Overwatch roster.

Your team has the most international roster among the SA Contenders teams.  Do you have any particular challenges in your comms?

We communicate mainly in Spanish, so Mate had a hard time at first since he had no previous knowledge of Spanish at all.  Luckily, I speak Portuguese and we can all speak English if we try to explain something really important to him during a match or a VoD review. He has since learned to understand Spanish a lot and the communication flows a lot better now during heated moments.  Even if he speaks some Portuguese in the middle of a teamfight, we can understand him.

There's a lot of talk about BGH and Isurus, but your team still placed 3rd on the Group Stage. Do you feel you are being underestimated?

I don't feel we are being underestimated, we are a new team that formed 3 days before Trials started and they have been the most outstanding teams in the region for a long time.  I think we've come a long way in these 2 months and we are still improving, so we will be able to do a lot better next season.

How confident do you feel about your upcoming match with Isurus?

We feel we can put up a good fight and maybe take the match if we are able to have a consistent performance, which has been our biggest flaw during the season.

How does your team like the current patch?  How do you like Wrecking Ball and Symmetra?

We haven't been able to find our playstyle on this patch yet, so it has been a little rough for us. To my knowledge, no team has experence with the new Symmetra in the region, so it's still a mystery.

I personally really like Hammond as a hero, but in order to use him, many things have to change in the team comp so I don't think he's being used at his fullest potential right now.

Your team seemed pretty good with Hammond vs. Predators Esports on King's Row.

In that specific match, we knew they were playing Rein+Zarya and it's super easy to abuse them with Hammond due to the map's shape and tall walls everywhere.  We used him to create a distraction and get 40 free energy to our Zarya, while our tanks were able to push for free with Hanzo getting into position without being punished.

I think Hammond can work well as a 3rd tank with Rein and Zarya, but it can be pretty easy to counter in many maps. We also don't have the experience to run him as a main tank like other teams have been doing.

Regarding BeastJDL's tweet about Blizzard needing to improve SA Contenders, what in particular needs to change? Are there some things that you feel Blizzard has improved on already?

The most important things that need to change are the prize pool which is 1/4 of other regions excluding Australia ($46,350 USD vs $185,040 USD) and we MUST HAVE LAN finals mainly in Sao Paulo, or Buenos Aires as a second choice.

I think Blizzard has improved the stream production for the Portuguese and Spanish channels during the playoffs and that's really good.

At the time of writing, most of your teammates do not have any social media listed.  Do you and your team have Twitter if others want to get in contact?

I don't use Twitter, but my team is more than happy to provide theirs:
