SKT Blank: "You have to adjust to the meta as fast as possible. My teammates can use a lot of champions and the 10 of us are analyzing the meta all together, so it’s not that difficult."

On the 30th (KST), SKT T1 defeated bbq Olivers 2:0 on the 2018 LCK Summer split day 17. In game 1, ‘Blank’ used Sejuani and scored 1 kill and 10 assists, leading the team to victory. He also showed concrete performance on his Trundle in game 2.

The following is the interview with Blank.

Q. How do you feel about today’s victory against bbq Olivers?

It’s meaningful since it’s a victory right before the Rift Rivals. I’d like to maintain this atmosphere and show good performance at the Rift Rivals.

Q. The team’s performance was rather shaky. Now it seems that the team is recovering. What did the players fix?

In some of the games, we were caught from behind. We analyzed on that point and now the team is focusing more about how to close down a winning game.

Q. Now you are a four-year pro gamer. What're your thoughts on this?

I was the youngest last year. Now there are a lot of rookies in the team. I think I grew up as an individual. I sense that I have to show something more. I do feel pressure, but at the same time, I’m more confident.

Q. How did you win this match?

Our pick bans were good and we played well also. I thought that we’d win if we don’t make any big mistakes. Well, there were some minor mistakes, but it didn’t change the results; we still had the advantage.

Q. Now you look like a team player. How do you feel about the team’s teamwork?

I think that’s the most important part, so we made a lot of feedback on this. However, it’s not perfect yet.

Q. You have a one-day vacation before the Rift Rivals. What are your plans?

I’m probably going to sleep late and go shopping. I’m thinking of relaxing for a day.

Q. On your last interview, you said you’re taking short naps. Isn’t it tough to practice this much?

Still, I think positive about the increase in practice time.

Q. SKT was rather a conservative team. However, now that the team is making a lot of changes, do you have anything that feels uncomfortable?

If you want to win, you have to adjust to the meta as fast as possible. My teammates can use a lot of champions and the 10 of us are analyzing the meta all together, so it’s not that difficult.

Q. Any last words?

We’re participating for the Rift Rivals. I’ll be showing better performance. I’ll be asking for support.
