Kuro Games has launched Phase II of Wuthering Waves Version 3.7, adding Suoming, a new 5-star Resonator, to its free-to-play open-world action role-playing game (RPG) on PC, PlayStation 5 (PS5), Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC, Mac, iOS and Android.
According to a release, the second half of the update (titled “Prism's Illusion, Heart's Illumination”) also brings back 5-star Resonators Lucilla and Lynae. Each of the three gets a Featured Resonator Convene: Nine Deaths, One Unbent Heart for Suoming, Tomorrow in the Frame for Lucilla and Undefined Spectrum for Lynae. Featured Weapon Convenes for Unspoken Rue, Freeze Frame and Spectrum Blaster run alongside them. Kuro Games has also released a Version 3.7 trailer.
Resonators are the game's playable characters. Convenes are its gacha banners, where players spend in-game currency on random pulls in the hope of landing a featured character or weapon.
Login rewards and limited-time events
Gifts of Singing Drizzle is a login event worth 10 Radiant Tide in total. Players get five, plus a Premium Tuner, after logging in once; another five (and a Crystal Solvent) follow after three cumulative login days.
Echo Erase adds new stages every day, each with Easy and Hard difficulties. Hard opens only once the Easy challenge is cleared. Rewards include up to 400 Astrite (the game's premium currency), Premium Resonance Potions and Premium Energy Cores, among other upgrade materials.
Beyond the Waves: Land of Xuanfang is the exploration event. Daily tasks earn Adventure Logs, which players swap for Adventure Packages with what the release calls ‘special reward mechanics’. Working through its three Inventories unlocks up to 400 Astrite, five Lustrous Tide and a Premium Tuner, plus other materials.
Chord Cleansing, the last of the four, doubles the rewards from Tacet Suppression challenges while players spend Waveplates (the game's stamina resource) during the event. Three Version 3.7 Featured Bundles have also been added to the in-game store.
Wuthering Waves launched in May 2024. Players take the role of Rover, who explores the world of Solaris-3. Kuro Games, based in Guangzhou, China, previously made the action RPG Punishing: Gray Raven. More details are on the official Wuthering Waves site.
