To encounter the boss monster Drake on Pirate Island, you must first complete the treasure map. The map is assembled by collecting fragments through a series of chained quests offered sequentially by town NPCs. All of these quests can fundamentally be accepted inside Pirate Island Village.
Since defeating Drake is conducted at the pledge or alliance level, not every player needs to complete the quest chain to the end. However, the Blue Pirate Bandana obtained during the chain can be used as-is or upgraded, and the Skeleton Necklace received from the general quest "Grandfather's Treasure" provides an AC -2 effect, making it well worth acquiring in advance.
Quest Chain Flow From Doyle to Cadmus; click to jump to the quest
The treasure map quest chain progresses in the following order: Doyle, Rudian, Shimizu, Resta, and Cadmus. Because you must complete the previous step before the next NPC will talk to you, be sure to follow the sequence. Lukain's quest "Grandfather's Treasure," which awards the Skeleton Necklace, is a separate general quest, so it is detailed below independently.

Collecting Treasure Map Fragments Doyle, Rudian, Shimizu, and Resta Chained Quests
Step 1
Doyle · Hate Lizards
The chain starts with Doyle, located below the warehouse keeper in Pirate Island Village. Talking to him yields the "Hate Lizards" quest, in which he asks you to find the cause of his pet dog's fear of going outside.
After receiving the quest, head out to the Pirate Island field and hunt Blue Tails, lizard-like monsters. Defeating Blue Tails has a chance to drop Blue Lizard Skin. Return to Doyle with it to receive your first Treasure Map Fragment.

Step 2
Rudian · A Friend's Enemy
Next is Rudian in the center of town. If you speak to him before completing Doyle's quest, he will only say this place is Hell Island and will not continue the dialogue, so make sure to complete Doyle's quest first before visiting him.
Visiting him after clearing Doyle's quest starts "A Friend's Enemy." The objective is to use the quest item, the Silver Flute, on a magic circle at a specific location on Pirate Island. Using the flute summons Raverbone Head, and defeating it grants Friend's Bag. Returning to Rudian reclaims the flute and bag, and he hands over the second Treasure Map Fragment.

Step 3
Shimizu · A Mother's Tears
The third quest, Shimizu's "A Mother's Tears," rewards you with the Blue Pirate Bandana instead of a treasure map fragment. While it may seem unrelated to map fragments, it is a prerequisite for receiving "Resta's Treasure," which grants the final fragment, so do not skip it and complete it first.
Shimizu is near the pet keeper on the west side of town. When spoken to, she asks you to find traces of her missing son. There are three keepsakes to collect: defeat Blue Tails in the Pirate Island field to obtain "Son's Letter," defeat High Lizardmen in the Pirate Island field or dungeon to obtain "Son's Bones," and defeat Raverbone Head on the 3rd floor of Pirate Island Dungeon to obtain Son's Portrait. Bringing all three keepsakes to Shimizu awards the Blue Pirate Bandana, which can be equipped directly or upgraded.

Step 4
Resta · Resta's Treasure
Once you have completed all three preceding quests, visit Resta, located in the house right above Shimizu. Resta asks you to find a ring for Shimizu, his unrequited love; you must first hunt Kiwi Parrots in the Pirate Island field to obtain Resta's Ring.
After getting the ring, take it to Marcel, who is located next to Lukain in front of the inn, to have it cleaned. Marcel is a jeweler who loves shiny things; speaking to him with Resta's Ring in your inventory will clean it. Afterward, talk to Resta, Shimizu, and then Resta again in sequence to complete the quest and receive the final Treasure Map Fragment.

Completing the Treasure Map Cadmus's Quest and Finding Grandson Kamit
Step 5
Cadmus · Completing the Treasure Map
Once you have gathered all three treasure map fragments, visit Cadmus in the northeastern part of town to accept the "Completing the Treasure Map" quest. Instead of immediately assembling the pieces, Cadmus asks you to find his missing grandson, Kamit.
Kamit spawns randomly across Pirate Island, making him quite tricky to locate. Use Teleport Scrolls to search the island, talk to Kamit, and then return directly to Cadmus to receive Cadmus's Necklace. There is no need to escort Kamit back to town as was required in the past. Speaking with Cadmus once more while holding the necklace will assemble the three fragments into a Completed Treasure Map.

· Kamit spawns randomly with no fixed location
· You only need to talk to Kamit; escorting him to town is unnecessary
· Carrying plenty of Teleport Scrolls will save search time
Entering Drake's Room Magic circle south of Dungeon 3F, Lv. 63 boss
With the Completed Treasure Map in hand, you can now enter Drake's room. Heading south from the entrance of Pirate Island Dungeon 3F leads to a small magic circle; using the treasure map at this spot teleports you into Drake's room.
Drake is a Lv. 63 boss monster that cannot be defeated solo. Players must meet various prerequisites to raid Drake as a pledge or alliance, and dominant factions are likely to exert control over it on most servers. Since the quest chain is high in difficulty and time-consuming, you can decide how far to progress based on your needs rather than completing every step.
General Quest: Grandfather's Treasure Open treasure chests across 3 stages to obtain the AC -2 Skeleton Necklace
Lukain General Quest
Grandfather's Treasure
"Grandfather's Treasure" is a general quest from Lukain that runs independently of the treasure map chain. Regardless of whether you participate in Drake raids, it awards a Skeleton Necklace with an AC -2 effect, making it well worth completing for anyone visiting Pirate Island.
The quest involves deciphering drawings or text written on maps to locate and open treasure chests. Opening a chest yields a map for the next stage. After opening all chests across a total of three stages, return to Lukain to receive the Skeleton Necklace providing AC -2.
Maps are issued randomly for each character. Stage 1 is fixed for all characters with a map depicting a lighthouse, but Stage 2 assigns one of 3 types at random, and Stage 3 assigns one of 6 types at random. Even when doing the same quest, the destination may vary per character, so check your own map hints rather than blindly following another player's path. The hints and chest locations for each stage are detailed below.
| Stage | Map Hint | Chest Location |
|---|---|---|
| Stage 1 Fixed | Drawing of a lighthouse | Lighthouse on the shore at the western tip of the island |
| Stage 2 1 of 3 | Drawing of an abandoned pier | Shore at the southeastern tip of the island |
| Drawing of a burned house | Shore directly east of the southwestern pier | |
| Drawing of two tuna | Shore below the southeast of town | |
| Stage 3 1 of 6 | 'In the middle of an island with two bridges' | East side of island, south of the eastern dungeon entrance |
| 'A puddle filled with mud' | Center of island, northeast of town | |
| 'Giant's fingers missing thumb and index finger' | West of town | |
| 'Behind a strange pillar in the flower bed' | Shore at the western tip of the island | |
| 'A corner of an island with one bridge' | North side of island, above the northwestern dungeon entrance | |
| 'Where the waterwheel turns' | Southwest of town, north of the pier |
· Accept the quest from Lukain to receive the lighthouse drawing map
· Open the chest at the lighthouse on the western tip of the island to acquire the Stage 2 map
· Open the shore chest indicated by the Stage 2 map to acquire the Stage 3 map
· Open the chest at the location indicated by the Stage 3 map, then return to Lukain to receive the Skeleton Necklace

How Far Should You Progress? Choose How Far to Go Based on Your Needs
As long as you remember the Shimizu prerequisite, you can follow the quest chain in order; general players can simply grab the Blue Pirate Bandana and Skeleton Necklace, and complete the treasure map only when boss raid participation is required.
