CD Projekt Red has revealed detailed patch notes for Cyberpunk 2077's new free update, the Edgerunners 2 Update.
The update introduces a variety of new features, including tie-in content with the anime series Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2—which released on Netflix on October 20—alongside firearm dual-wielding, cyberware cosmetic customization, console mod support, and more.
First, a new side quest titled 'Clampdown,' set before the events of Edgerunners 2, has been added. The quest can be accessed after completing the main quest 'The Heist' and two gigs for Wakako, followed by receiving a message from Wakako. Through the quest, players can acquire five new pieces of gear themed around King, a character from the anime. Additionally, a new radio station, HKGN 102.0 FM, has been added, allowing players to enjoy music from the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners series.

The update also enables dual-wielding weapons. A new dual-wielding perk and four auxiliary perks have been added to the Cool skill tree, allowing players to equip and use Power pistols and revolvers in each hand. Players can experience a new playstyle distinct from the traditional single-firearm style by using dual weapons.
Character customization options are also expanding with the introduction of hand cyberware customization and new clothing. For hand cyberware, players equipped with Mantis Blades, Gorilla Arms, Monowire, or the Projectile Launch System can visit five newly added Glamdocs across Night City to alter the appearance and color of their cyberware. Each Glamdoc offers a unique catalog of cyberware skins, complete with dedicated voice lines and animations.
New clothing sets, including Maxiwear, Jinguji, NetWatch, and IconAmerica, can be purchased from clothing vendors, with one additional outfit set scheduled for release later. Select NPC-exclusive hairstyles have also been made available for the player character, V. The NUS Infiltrator clothing set has been added to vendors, and four new TWINTONE skins for the Quadra Turbo-R V-Tech will be offered via Twitch Drops. Photo Mode gains frames themed after the Cyberpunk Trading Card Game and new poses for dual-wielding.
World-related upgrades are also included. A new side quest where players uncover mysteries in Night City guided by commentary from Richard Night has been added, along with 12 Minor Arcana Tarot Cards hidden throughout Night City. Scanning a new tarot card activates a side quest tied to the existing quest 'Fool on the Hill,' and collecting all cards yields a special reward.

This update introduces cross-platform mod support, including on consoles. Players can browse and install user-created mods directly from the in-game menu, available on PC, Mac, PS5, and XSX|S. Supported mods will gradually expand over time, though playing with a modded save file on consoles will disable achievements and trophies.
Additional quality-of-life and graphical features have also been improved. Save files can now be categorized by playthrough, and item filters have been added to apartments and vehicle stashes. Console versions gain a field-of-view (FOV) slider. DLSS 4.5 support has been added, along with ray tracing optimizations, PS5 Pro enhancements, and improved HDR rendering.
Cyberpunk 2077's 2.5 update will roll out on October 22 for PC, Mac, PS5, and XSX|S. The Nintendo Switch 2 and Mac App Store versions will follow in the days after. Further details regarding this update can be found in the official patch notes on the official website.
