Square Enix is holding a half-anniversary campaign for its mobile roguelite RPG Dragon Quest Smash/Grow through December 15, offering up to 5,000 free Gems alongside the Dragon Quest IV Event.
Square Enix Co., Ltd. (President and Representative Director Takashi Kiryu, hereinafter Square Enix) announced on the 21st that it has launched a half-anniversary campaign and kicked off the Dragon Quest IV Event for its mobile roguelite RPG Dragon Quest Smash/Grow.
Running through December 15, the event features a special storyline involving characters from Dragon Quest IV, alongside new content such as a skill system based on bonds between characters. As players progress through the event story, they can build bonds with Dragon Quest IV characters to unlock Companion Adventure Skills. Obtaining these skills within a stage summons characters during battle to assist the player with unique abilities. Every time a bond rank increases, players receive additional items and Companion Adventure Skills. Unlocked Companion Adventure Skills can also be used in Super Monster Rush Season 6, adding variety to combat.
A new system called Memoria Skill will also be introduced via an update during the event period. By upgrading the Memoria of Dragon Quest IV characters obtained through bond rank increases to S-Rank, players can continue adventuring with those characters even after the event ends. Memoria Skills trigger when equipping Memoria of matching colors into the star-marked party loadout slots.
Generous rewards are also prepared to celebrate the half-anniversary. Through a login bonus running until December 15, players can receive up to 5,000 free Gems. In addition, players with an Adventure Rank of 29 or lower who clear stages through November 4 will receive increased Gold and Adventure Rank EXP.
Furthermore, Zenithian Equipment—including the new Zenithian Sword weapon—will be available through December 22, allowing players to unleash Wind-attribute attacks using new Coups de Grâce and Surprise Adventure Skills. The new weapon, Zenithian Sword, features the Coup de Grâce "Zenithian Slash," which launches the user into the air to slash enemies for Wind-attribute physical damage. Meanwhile, the Surprise Adventure Skill "Zenithian Blast" unleashes six Wind-attribute blasts in the surrounding area for every 10 successful finish attacks.
Dragon Quest Smash/Grow is a mobile roguelite RPG featuring real-time field battles where players dodge incoming monster attacks, slash through enemies with intuitive controls, and sweep away hordes of foes using flashy Coups de Grâce.
