NC's PC MMORPG Blade & Soul NEO (hereafter B&S NEO) launched its 2nd anniversary update, 'MORE & MORE', on the 21st. The update adds a new side story questline and a 12-player raid dungeon, alongside the first Arena Sparring event where players compete using normalized stats.
The new side story consists of an eight-chapter questline exploring the history of the Kunlun Sect, once one of the Eight Great Sects. Players can experience the backstories of key figures, including a young Jinsoyun. The raid dungeon connected to the side story, Temple of Eluvium, is a high-difficulty 12-player raid featuring three gates. As players progress through the gates, the stagger value required to break through increases.
The Sparring (PvP) event applies normalized stats that disregard gear, progression level, and Martial Tome Points. Players can exchange the participation reward, Tokens of Combat, for items such as Legendary Martial Tomes, while earning exclusive outfits and Illusion Weapons based on their rank in the newly introduced ranking system.
A Clan Hideout shared by clan members has also been added. In the hideout's clan-exclusive hunting ground, members cooperate to clear bosses and receive rewards based on their combat contribution. In the new raid and the Clan Hideout, players can obtain Ancient Martial Tome Fragments, a crafting material for Ancient-grade Martial Tomes. New progression features include Ancient-grade Martial Tomes, Ja-un Weapons, and select accessories.
Class balance adjustments include damage modifications alongside quality-of-life improvements addressing class-specific gameplay issues. Key mapping has also been improved for smoother controls.
The 2nd anniversary web event offers features for checking growth records, inviting friends, and utilizing tickets. In '2 Years of Records', players can review their character's growth journey from creation to the present day, while 'Invite Friends' rewards players for inviting new or returning friends. The 'Heart-Pounding Lucky Draw' event allows players to use tickets collected through logins for draws and prize raffles. Participation rewards for the web events include Heroic to Legendary Martial Tomes, Dohwa, and Seals.
In-game, a 2nd anniversary event pass is available to assist character growth. 'Double Mileage' doubles synthesis mileage for Dohwa and Seals, as well as rewards for daily and weekly missions. In the Windstride Race minigame, players can obtain Sacred Tree Soul Shields. In 'Decisive Battle: Encroached Labyrinth', players gain experience points through combat using normalized stats.
