Kakao Games Corp. announced on October 21 that it has launched an update for its MMORPG ArcheAge WAR, featuring a revamp of the 'Ancient Forest' dungeon and the addition of the Primordial-grade weapon 'Baadran'.
In the 'Ancient Forest', the time required to capture altars has been increased from 3 seconds to 8 seconds, and the capture retention time has been extended from 3 hours to 6 hours. The altars, which previously appeared at fixed locations, now spawn randomly across three potential sites. The dungeon will operate on a bi-weekly rotation with 'Seasons of Illusions', which was revamped in September.
Changes were also made to hunting zones. Monster levels and defeat rewards were fully rebalanced, new monsters were added, and chaotic zones were expanded alongside areas populated by dense monster spawns.
The newly added 'Baadran' is Primordial-grade equipment positioned above the existing 'Ayanad' weapons. To obtain it, players must evolve a weapon of the same type as the 'Ayanad' weapon at the 'Evolution Anvil'.
Boss-related adjustments include spawn relocations and stat changes. 'Berserk Gert of Despair', who previously appeared in 'Eternal Abyss', has been moved to 'Fiend's Abyss'. This change aims to reduce unnecessary conflicts between general hunting players and boss raid participants, and the same adjustment applies to 'Gert of Despair' on the 'Gdelon' server.
In 'Rookborne Basin', the HP and skill damage of 'Gale Wing Garom' have been lowered. The required number of 'Groa Summon Ticket Shards' to craft 'Berserk Garom' has been reduced from 200 to 50.
Server-specific update celebration events will run until November 4. On the 'Gdelon' server, 'Lucky Key Season 10' offers opportunities to earn items such as 'Legendary Crafting Blueprints' and 'Ayanad Ink (Legendary)'. On the 'Varua' server, 'Lucky Draw Season 5' features rewards including the 'Ayanad Equipment Selection Box' and 'Noble Izi Armor Selection Box'.
Server-wide events are also underway. Rewards for the 'Recorder's Check-In', running until November 18, include the 'Garden Leaf Lucky Box' and the 'Radiant 11x Summon Ticket Selection Box'. In the 'Agent's Mission' event running through November 4, players can complete daily missions to earn rewards such as the 'Star Treasure Box' and 'Heroic Summon Ticket Selection Box'.
