Devolver Digital officially launched Mycopunk, a co-op sci-fi shooter developed by Pigeons at Play, on PC and PS5 on October 21 (KST). Arriving as Version 1.0 after more than a year in Early Access, the game supports both single-player and up to four-player co-op.
This release also marks Mycopunk's debut on PlayStation 5. The PS5 version is included in PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium. Since launching in Early Access in July 2025, the game has undergone multiple updates, with Version 1.0 adding new weapons, grenades, modes, maps, and a new character. Wearable hats have also been introduced.
The game is set on 'New Atlas', a location covered in mysterious fungus. Players assemble a team as part of a clean-up crew, equip combat gear, and head to the moon's surface. Driving back the fungal threat combines squad-based shooting action with humor and a sci-fi universe.
In combat, players can choose from various futuristic weapons and enhance their performance through a grid-based upgrade system. Because other enemies can pick up blasted-off bits and pieces from fallen foes to grow larger and stronger, players must adapt to these changes during battle.
In co-op play, teammates combine upgraded abilities and customized weapons to create synergistic builds. Between missions, the orbital dropship 'H.U.B.' offers minigames, various activities, and hidden secrets.
