Gravity officially launched its self-developed basketball card game, NBA Rise, across eight regions including South Korea on the 20th. Service begins at 2:00 PM KST, and the game is available on Google Play and the Apple App Store.
The launch regions are South Korea, the Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Australia, and New Zealand. NBA Rise was developed based on official licensing agreements Gravity secured with the NBA (National Basketball Association) and the NBPA (National Basketball Players Association). It features actual player cards, team logos, and match data, reflecting team rosters based on the 2025-2026 season.
Players build their teams by scouting players and training and promoting their cards. Decks can be constructed using position-based player combinations and synergy systems. The match screen features a sports broadcast-style presentation, displaying quarter information, team power, points, rebounds, and more in real time.
Competitive content includes "PvP Arena," "Popularity Battle," "Tower Race," "PvE Season Matches," "Daily Division," and "RvR Club Conquest." In the "Club" guild system, players can chat among members and participate in inter-club competition. The "Market" supports trading for all items, including player cards.
Gravity conducted a global CBT in July. User feedback highlighted by the company included positive reviews regarding real-time tactical interventions, the player scouting process, and the inclusion of up-to-date team rosters.
Launch celebration check-in rewards will run until December 31. Logging into the game grants rewards once per day, up to a maximum of 14 days' worth. Until November 4, rewards will be provided for completing card training and upgrades according to set criteria and counts. Reward events for playing match content a set number of times over a specific period, as well as "Pre-Season" and "Best 5 Pick-Up" events, have also been prepared.
Official community events will run until November 10. Joining the official Discord channel and leaving follow verification along with an in-game ID in the event channel comments will award 500 Gold and 10,000 Silver. Launch celebration coupons will be revealed on the official Discord channel and Facebook page.
Gun-seok No, Global Mobile Business Team Lead at Gravity, said, "NBA Rise focused on delivering a realistic gameplay experience close to an actual basketball game based on an official NBA license. Since the CBT, it has been a highly anticipated title among global users due to the fun of real-time tactical interventions and scouting players directly."
Detailed information about the game is available on the official NBA Rise website.
