On October 20, Pan Studio announced that it has updated Duet Night Abyss with Version 1.7, "Towards the Dawn." The update introduces the new character Rhythm: Flamewrought alongside new story content, weapons, and seasonal events.
The update celebration event, "Immersive Theatre," runs from October 20 to November 10. In this content where players take the stage to lead the flow of the story, players can earn "Secret Letters" for Rhythm: Flamewrought. Secret Letters for the new weapon "Blessed Burden" are also provided as time-limited rewards. Additionally, the cumulative check-in event "Upcoming Tomorrow" awards 10 "Luminous Hourglasses."
Rhythm: Flamewrought is a new form of the existing character Rhythm, featuring the Electro element and wielding a one-handed sword and a hand cannon. Players can acquire this character through Secret Letters.
The new event story "Towards the Dawn" will be permanently open following the update. It tells the story of a girl who brings warmth to the people of Icelake City, a place filled with extinguished lighthouses and cold winds. The character story event "The Girl Who Will Become a Lantern," which focuses on Rhythm's narrative, will run until November 30.
As for weapons, the hand cannon "Blessed Burden" is added with the update, while the longbow "The Hatter's Banquet" and the Calamity one-handed sword "Endless Enigma" will be revealed on November 10. New weapons can be obtained through forging. For character growth content, new Demon Wedges—including "Fenrir's Strong Hunter," "Fenrir's Disintegration," and "Summanus's Still Thunder"—along with their related blueprints, have been added. The acquisition paths for some existing Demon Wedges have also been adjusted.
Outfit events are also underway. "Midnight River of Oblivion" brings back the "Bizarre Whispers" costumes for Phina and Rhythm for a limited time. Starting November 10, "Candy Dream Factory" will introduce the new "Candy Full House" series costumes for Lisbell and Truffle & Hazelnut.
Seasonal events will open sequentially, including "Festival Celebration Gift," "Treasure Hunt Training," "Harvest Day," "Starlight Tour," and "Eternal Nightmare." Among them, "Treasure Hunt Training" allows players to challenge various training stages to earn rewards. Additional content such as "Immersive Theatre: Joint Stage," "Civilization Showdown," "To the Top," and "Moyusheng's Bizarre Adventure" will also roll out sequentially, alongside the update to "Bard's Anthology: Starlight Melody."
