Team42 announced that its upcoming MMORPG, World of Slime, is participating in Steam Next Fest, held from October 19 to 26. To mark the event, the developer also rolled out the final update for the PC demo version, introducing a new area and additional slimes.
According to Team42, World of Slime has surpassed 30,000 global wishlists on Steam since releasing its demo in August. The game supports 17 languages, including English, Japanese, and Portuguese, with human translations applied to six major languages among them.
World of Slime is a cozy taming MMORPG where players slowly explore the world while capturing and nurturing monsters. Rather than collecting them through random gacha mechanics, the game is designed so that all slimes can be obtained directly through capture or fusion. Fusion is also used to discover and empower new slimes.
Players can explore alongside friends or newly met players, form parties to enjoy battles, and undertake various quests. Each slime features distinct appearances and gestures, expressing a comfortable atmosphere through soft creature and character designs.
Team42 has continued fixing bugs and releasing updates following the demo launch. The company noted that overseas players, including those in Brazil, are sharing strategy guides and creating dedicated tools on community platforms like Discord.
Steam Next Fest is an online event hosted by Valve. It showcases playable demos of upcoming games and highlights titles from indie and mid-sized developers.
Team42 will also set up a booth at G-STAR 2026, which takes place at BEXCO in Busan from November 19 to 22. On-site, the company will host playable demos and hands-on events for the mobile version of World of Slime, as well as kick off pre-registrations. The official service is scheduled to launch across mobile and PC platforms in December.
