NEOWIZ announced that Goodbye Seoul: Itaewon will participate in Steam Next Fest, running from October 20 to 27 (KST), to showcase a new demo version.
The demo supports a total of 10 languages, including Korean, English, Simplified Chinese, and Japanese. Anyone can play it on PC via Steam during Steam Next Fest, an online event where players can try demos of upcoming releases.
Developer JINO Games incorporated user feedback gathered from the previous demo and beta test into this version. The playable area has been expanded compared to before, with new puzzles added, while presentation and controls have been improved alongside puzzles and exploration. The newly added area allows players to glimpse the next part of the unrevealed story.
Other changes include adjustments to art elements such as backgrounds and objects, as well as added background detail and sound effects. Controls and quality-of-life features have also been refined so players can explore the expanded space while maintaining the existing gameplay flow.
The newly revealed key art, unveiled to mark the game's participation in the event, captures Seoul as its main setting, the post-catastrophe atmosphere, and the emotions of the characters.
Goodbye Seoul: Itaewon is a single-player narrative puzzle adventure game published by NEOWIZ and developed by JINO Games. Set in a near-future Seoul facing an impending asteroid impact, protagonist Rion pursues clues related to a secret government space evacuation project. The game renders the scenery of Seoul in 2.5D pixel art, combining exploration and environmental puzzles with character relationships and narrative. It is scheduled for release on PC via Steam.
JINO Games CEO Jin-ho Kim said, “Through the previous beta test, we were able to see players' impressions and identify areas needing improvement. We are refining various elements based on the feedback you provided.”
He added, “This Steam Next Fest demo expands the playable section beyond what was previously shown and introduces new areas along with several new puzzles. We hope those who played the previous demo will check out the new additions. We will do our best to keep polishing the game until the official launch so we can present it in even better shape.”
