Getting lost in Ironforge is not unusual. You might walk into the Deeprun Tram entrance while looking for the Auction House, or realize your destination was on the complete opposite side after circling the Great Forge. Now, however, taking a wrong turn might lead you face-to-face with Dark Iron dwarves—because a new dungeon, the 'Hall of Thanes', has opened right beneath King Magni's throne.

Hall of Thanes, the tomb beneath Ironforge A low-level dungeon accessible from level 13
World of Warcraft: Forever’s (hereafter Forever) new dungeon, Hall of Thanes, is a low-level dungeon located deep beneath Ironforge. With a recommended entry level of 13 to 18, it is a great dungeon for Alliance players who have just left their starting zones and are adventuring through Westfall.
Hall of Thanes is a tomb where ancient dwarven thans rest. However, as Dark Iron dwarves invaded the catacombs, long-slumbering spirits were awakened. The overall story of the dungeon revolves around defeating the wandering spirits and intruders, discovering why the Dark Iron dwarves invaded the tomb, and granting peace back to the restless spirits.
Defeating Dark Iron dwarves in Dun Morogh allows players to acquire a map. The player and Earthseer Farsen uncover that the complex underground passages drawn on the map all lead beneath Ironforge. Afterward, players head underground at King Magni's request to eliminate the invaders.
Heading down the path to the left of Ironforge’s High Seat toward Old Ironforge, you can find the way leading to the Hall of Thanes.

Ancestors awakened from their slumber by intruders Bringing rest to the spirits wandering the tomb
Along with the request to eliminate the invaders, players are tasked with laying to rest the ancestors awakened by the strange disturbances. Upon entering the Hall of Thanes, you immediately encounter the awakened dwarven spirits roaming around.
As you fight through the spirits, you will encounter an NPC named Ghostly Attendant. She asks you to bring peace to the soul of a dwarven thane named Faldrim Anvilmar. Faldrim Anvilmar serves as the first named boss of the Hall of Thanes and continually patrols around the tomb.

What is the motive of the invading Dark Iron dwarves? Being a low-level dungeon, the difficulty is relatively easy
After defeating Faldrim Anvilmar and venturing deeper, the invading Dark Iron dwarves begin to appear one by one. Moving toward the inner cave of the tomb reveals the fire elemental 'Magmatus'. True to the history of the Dark Iron dwarves who summoned Ragnaros during the War of the Three Hammers, they have summoned a fire elemental here as well.
Heading toward the deepest section of the tomb, Plunder Golems block the door to the vault. Upon defeating the golems and stepping inside the vault, 'Durgen Dirgehammer' reveals himself.
Inside the vault, along with dwarven heirlooms, stands a stone tablet named the 'Compact of Understanding'. Delivering this to Magni reveals that it is a peace treaty intended to forge harmony among the dwarves following the War of the Three Hammers. However, the Dark Iron dwarves ultimately never signed the compact.
Exactly what the Dark Iron dwarves were seeking is never fully revealed. It will be interesting to see how the story of the three dwarven clans—which united on live servers—unfolds in World of Warcraft: Forever.
