The Lord of Novels added new character Eve in its Season 4 update on October 19, alongside revamps to combat maps and the user interface (UI).
Jointly developed by Magic Cube and Dizzcon and published by BigJam, the game is an officially licensed Novelpia mobile action RPG. It features characters from various web novel IPs, including I Quit the Hero's Party, Black-Haired Foreigner in Another World, and I Became the Villain the Hero Is Obsessed With. Players command a squad of up to 10 members using the 'Squad System,' experiencing action combat utilizing parrying and dashing alongside roguelike growth elements.
Eve, who joined in this update, is the protagonist of the web novel National-Level Machine Princess of Hunter Gallery. Appearing in the game as a 'Golemancer,' she summons golems to battle on her behalf rather than fighting directly. She battles by overwhelming opponents with a superior number of allies, featuring golems from the original work—'Daengdaeng-i,' 'Minium-i,' and 'Suri'—as ultimate skills.
In combat, an expanded map and broader field of view allow players to engage more enemies than before. A field map tracking progression has been added to the campaign stage selection screen, with backgrounds dynamically changing according to campaign progress.
Players who promote Eve to 2-star rank will receive The Lord of Novels Season 4 emote set usable on Novelpia. The emotes primarily feature the new character Eve.
A representative from the development team stated, "We will continue to do our best to add a variety of popular Novelpia characters so that players can enjoy the excitement of adventuring with their favorite web novel characters."
Further details regarding the Season 4 update can be found via in-game notices and the official community.
