Publisher and distributor Justdan announced that its first self-developed title, the new action RPG roguelike Dinghai: The Ocean Pillar, is participating in Steam Next Fest starting October 20, releasing Demo 2.0 and dropping its second promotional video (PV2) at the same time.
Set against the backdrop of the Classic of Mountains and Seas and the legend of Great Yu controlling the waters, Dinghai: The Ocean Pillar is a single-player action RPG combining a dual-weapon combat system with roguelike elements. Scheduled for official release on PC via Steam in 2026, the game supports subtitles in five languages—including Korean, English, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, and Japanese—along with Chinese voiceovers.
The Demo 2.0 featured at this Steam Next Fest fully supports save data transfer to the full release. This allows players to carry over their progress from the demo to the official release coming in 2026.
In Demo 2.0, players can check out expanded game content, including new regions and equipment. Players will enter "Heyang," a new stage where lightning has relentlessly struck for ages, to face off against "Xingtian," an ancient god-demon boss wielding a massive thunder hammer. In terms of combat, the new Water-attribute "Aquasunder Dual Blades" have been added, dealing Slow and Freeze damage to enemies with fast-paced combo attacks. Additionally, players can experience dynamic combat by combining newly added "Divine Skills" and "Traits," alongside the hidden Spirit Beast "Zouwu."
System optimizations have also been made to enhance visual fidelity and controls. Starting with this version, 4K high-resolution graphics are supported, and detailed settings such as key customization options and map guidance have been added to deliver a more immersive play environment.
The second promotional video released alongside the demo captures high-stakes combat action, showcasing Dinghai's signature heavy impact feel and rapid offensive-defensive transitions. The video highlights fluid weapon-swapping combos, deep build construction, and boss battles against iconic gods and demons from the Classic of Mountains and Seas where players analyze enemy patterns to counterattack. Further details regarding Dinghai: The Ocean Pillar can be found in announcements on its Steam store page.
