The eighth God Selection for SOL: enchant (hereafter SOL) took place at 20:00 on Saturday, October 17. With growth elements such as High-Grade Nine Seals and new collections recently added, tension had built up prior to the Main God Selection, and this election was no exception as dramatic turnarounds occurred during the blind period to shake up the rankings.
The biggest upset occurred in Lindel 1. Right up until the blind phase, KimLeeParkDeokbae of the 'SpartaA' guild held 1st place with approximately 10.1 billion Nine, while Black Pepper of the 'Chamgyoyuk' guild sat in 5th place having consumed roughly 1.51 billion Nine. However, in the final results announced after the blind phase ended, Black Pepper surged to approximately 14.28 billion Nine to flip the standings.
A blind-phase comeback was also recorded in Caltheon 2. Just before the blind phase, Ni of the 'Myth' guild held 1st place with approximately 5.23 billion Nine, and SinuiSon of the same guild was in 2nd place with around 3.99 billion Nine. zero100 of the 'Seoul' guild ranked 3rd with roughly 3.59 billion Nine, but ultimately consumed up to approximately 7.44 billion Nine to overtake both Successors and claim the title of God. Ni also increased their consumption to around 5.81 billion Nine, but failed to hold onto top spot.
Meanwhile, in Lindel 3, CassWangno1 successfully secured re-election by spending a final total of approximately 26.4 billion Nine. Having already recorded around 26.4 billion Nine before the blind period, they held onto the throne without needing a massive late-stage surge. Hauda from the same 'Possessed' guild took 2nd place with approximately 22.22 billion Nine, and Kkamppa placed 3rd with roughly 18.3 billion Nine, bringing the combined consumption of these three Successors alone to approximately 66.92 billion Nine. In this selection as well, CassWangno1 retained the title of the God who consumed the most Nine across all servers.
Nachent in Lindel 4 also successfully defended their divine authority by increasing their consumption from approximately 5.04 billion Nine right before the blind phase to a final total of roughly 7.59 billion Nine. They secured re-election with more than double the gap over 2nd-place Min-gun's 2.64 billion Nine. In Caltheon 1, Wolcheon recorded approximately 13.24 billion Nine, while SomacEKimHanjang in Lindel 5 posted around 3.14 billion Nine, both retaining their seats as God following the previous selection on October 3.
In this election, the God title changed hands in 6 out of the 10 servers across Caltheon and Lindel. While some servers saw massive pre-blind gaps overturned, others saw the winner shift within the same guild, or incumbent Gods comfortably win re-election. With Sky Island matchmaking scheduled to expand to other worlds on October 21, keen attention is focused on how this power shift will impact the World Battlefield.
