HANJIN BRION fell 2-3 to Team WE in Match 2 of the 2026 Demacia Cup Global Invitational (DCGI) semifinals, held at the Beijing Smart Esports Center on October 15. After dropping Games 1 and 2, HANJIN BRION brought the series back to even by taking Games 3 and 4, but could not stop Team WE as they reclaimed momentum in the final Game 5. With this, BNK FEARX's opponent in the final was set to be Team WE.
Team WE reached match point by taking Games 1 and 2 back-to-back. In Game 1, where they had drafted a somewhat disadvantageous team composition, WE capitalized on HANJIN BRION's mistakes to let 'Monki' on Jayce scale heavily, while adding 'Karis' Kim Hong-jo's carry performance on Ryze to secure the win. Game 2 went WE's way as well, with 'Monki' setting up plays on Naafiri alongside strong performances from a well-farmed 'About' on Caitlyn and 'Karis' on Akali.
Pushed to the brink, HANJIN BRION caught their breath by taking Game 3. Early in the game, 'Teddy' Park Jin-seong's Kalista and 'Namgung' Namgung Seong-hun's Renata Glasc repeatedly scored duo kills in lane, while 'Roamer' Cho Woo-jin's Locke accelerated his growth by scoring kills through roams. Team WE struck back with timely ganks from 'Monki' on Poppy, who also helped WE stay ahead in objectives.
The game gradually turned into a carry battle between HANJIN BRION's primary damage dealers 'Roamer' and 'Teddy' and WE's mid-jungle duo 'Karis' on Viktor and 'Monki'. As the game went late, teamfights repeatedly featured Locke and Kalista—who had funnelled most of the kills—and HANJIN BRION ultimately destroyed WE's Nexus behind their carries' overwhelming firepower gap.
HANJIN BRION maintained their momentum in Game 4. Though initially dragged around by ganks and objective setups from 'Monki' on Qiyana, HANJIN BRION instantly shifted the momentum by punishing WE's sideline setups. 'Namgung' shone on Rakan with super-saves. From that point on, HANJIN BRION won teamfight after teamfight, pulling ahead by over 10,000 gold to seal the victory.
In the deciding Game 5, both teams traded kills continuously in a tightly contested match. HANJIN BRION's 'Roamer' on Anivia and 'Teddy' on Corki picked up multiple kills, while for WE, 'Cube' on Zaahen recorded 3 kills. WE were the ones to step ahead, scoring successful hits during ultimate timings from 'Monki' on Nocturne to accelerate the scaling of 'About' on Smolder.
Once Smolder completed 225 stacks, Team WE played even more aggressively. Capitalizing on vision control for ambush plays, they claimed more kills to broaden the lead. From HANJIN BRION's perspective, there was no way to contain the late-game carry potential of Zaahen and Smolder. Securing the Infernal Soul and pushing forward with sheer force, WE won the final teamfight convincingly to wrap up the series.
