Arc System Works Asia Co., Ltd. announced that the Korean version of Eternal Anima will launch on March 4, 2027. It will be available in both physical and digital formats on Nintendo Switch 2 and PlayStation 5.
Developed by Marvelous Inc., Eternal Anima is a new RPG that combines an isometric narrative perspective and turn-based command combat with "Knowledge Inheritance" and "Future Sight" systems. The protagonist, Wade, uses "Psychometry"—the ability to read memories left in objects—as he travels between two eras, the past and present, to uncover the truth behind a lost history.
In the "City of White," the story's setting, wishing for a better future is considered a severe crime. Pursued as a heretic, the protagonist leaps into the Forbidden Sea in search of an unknown world, traveling across four lost continents as he discovers the true meaning of inheriting knowledge.
"Knowledge Inheritance," which handles character progression, is a system that allows players to obtain classes and skills from the thoughts and memories of former owners dwelling within objects. Players can combine abilities inherited from different regions to build their desired combat style.
In battle, "Future Sight" allows players to preview the timing and outcome of enemy actions each turn. Depending on the chosen commands, players can rewrite the future of combat—such as preparing for predicted attacks or acting before the enemy to stop their actions.
The game is single-player and supports Japanese and English voice tracks. Subtitles are provided in Korean, Japanese, Traditional and Simplified Chinese, English, French, German, and Spanish. Along with game details, Arc System Works Asia also released Korean screenshots, noting that they show a build currently under development.
