Konami Digital Entertainment Limited (hereinafter Konami) announced on October 15 that it has officially released the 2D action game Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse. Supported platforms are PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, XBOX Series X|S, XBOX on PC, and Steam.
The game is set in 1499, 23 years after Castlevania III: Dracula’s Curse. Set in Paris, France, it stars Rose Belmont—daughter of Trevor Belmont, the hero who defeated Dracula—as the protagonist. The title was co-developed by Konami and Evil Empire, with indie developer Motion Twin also taking part in production.
Setting out to save the city, Rose Belmont explores the burning streets of Paris under monster attack as well as Dracula's Castle. Players can utilize various weapons and skills in combat, including the legendary holy whip, Vampire Killer.
During exploration, players will uncover hidden secrets and upgrade elements beyond the main paths. Built around acquiring various weapons and abilities while unraveling the mysteries of Dracula's Castle, the game makes exploration a core focus.
Composer Daniel ASADI contributed to the music production. The "Digital Sound & Art Gallery" features 71 tracks included in the game.
