Neon Giant, a studio under KRAFTON, Inc., has opened pre-orders for the Ultimate Edition of action shooter RPG The Ascent on Nintendo Switch 2. This digital-only version is set to officially launch on December 3.
The Ascent takes place in 'Veles,' a cyberpunk world controlled by a mega-corporation. Supporting single-player and up to four-player co-op, the game has been played by more than 12 million players worldwide since its release in 2021.
The Ultimate Edition includes the base game alongside major DLCs such as the story expansion 'Cyber Heist', 'CyberSec Pack', and 'Cyber Warrior Pack'. Players can customize their combat style by combining various weapons and cyberware.
A new trailer released alongside the opening of pre-orders showcases combat set against the streets and industrial facilities of Veles. It highlights explosive and energy-based attacks using weapons, gear, and cyberware, as well as co-op gameplay where players can fight solo or with companions.
Neon Giant will apply a legacy patch to existing platforms on November 19. The patch includes localization improvements and HDR support, alongside fixes for major issues related to teleportation, encounter systems, saving, and progression during co-op play. These improvements will also be included in the Nintendo Switch 2 version.
