Pearl Abyss announced that its MMORPG 'Black Desert' participated in the 'Korean Festival' held in The Hague, Netherlands, on the 11th.
Hosted by the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in the Kingdom of the Netherlands, the Korean Festival was organized to introduce traditional and modern Korean culture to the local community. The event featured a variety of programs, including K-pop dance, Taekwondo demonstrations, traditional Korean music performances, and Korean food experiences.
'Black Desert' participated as the only gaming content invited to the event. Pearl Abyss operated a booth where attendees could experience 'Black Shrine,' the boss challenge content from 'Land of the Morning Light,' which features Korean folklore.
Visitors experienced battles against bosses rooted in Korean folklore, such as Gumiho, the Golden Pig King, and Sangoon. Booth visitors were provided with game passes, and participants who successfully cleared the 'Black Shrine' challenge were presented with a 'Papu' plush.
'Land of the Morning Light' is content created against the backdrop of Korean myths, folktales, and folklore. Pearl Abyss previously introduced 'Black Desert' at 'TwitchCon' in Paris, France, in 2024 and at 'Korea House,' the Korea promotion center operated during the Paris Olympics.
