Starting as a domestic PC packaged game in 2000 and reborn in 2003 as 'Seal Online' featuring full 3D cartoon-rendered graphics—attracting 1.1 million players in just two months—the 'Seal' IP is evolving another step further. Developed by Playwith Games and published by Playwith Korea, the new hybrid (mobile/PC) title 'Seal M2 (SEAL M2)' is currently being honed for a release targeted in the fourth quarter of 2026.
Focusing on a balance between "the essence of Seal" and a "modern MMORPG," the development team inherited the solid identity that the Seal IP has maintained for over 20 years while adding immersion and strategic depth. Reinterpreting the original's signature cheerful comical action and cartoon-rendered graphics for mobile environments, they have also newly rebuilt combat, progression, cooperation, and competitive content. Going beyond mere volume expansion, the game plans to present a robust structure where specialized combat centered around weapon switching and combos, multi-dimensional pet and equipment progression systems, balance encompassing party dungeons and the Tower of Sages, and a transparent exchange-based economy interlock seamlessly.
A World Crafted by Unfamiliar Familiarity and the Thrill of Active Combat

'New Shiltz,' the main stage of Seal M2, carries a unique world setting centered on "unfamiliar familiarity." While players begin their adventure in familiar landscapes, delving deeper reveals subtly skewed truths, unfolding the story through a new lens beyond mere nostalgia, fitting the setting that "the familiar path extends in reverse."
The five classes exploring this charming world possess distinct combat mechanisms rather than simply using different weapons.
The 'Knight' is a melee brawler-tank that alternates between sword and shield to withstand enemy attacks while applying debuffs, while the 'Jester' is a mid-range damage dealer that stacks poison before detonating it instantaneously. The newly introduced 'Shooter' builds an auto-attack enhancement gauge from a distance to unleash devastating firepower, and the 'Mage' has casting times but unleashes powerful area-of-effect attacks to obliterate groups of enemies as combos accumulate. The 'Priest' also goes beyond healing allies from the backline, acting as an offensive supporter who heals the party by detonating gauge accumulated through attacks. While Seal M2 supports auto-battle, it is designed so that combat efficiency is maximized when players manually control skills and timing to suit the situation, achieving both convenience and tactile combat satisfaction.

Deep, Multi-Dimensional Progression and a Player-Crafted Pet System

The advanced progression system, where collection and enhancement continuously feed into each other, is also noteworthy. OOPArts and costumes, divided into five gear slots—headgear, face, back, tail, and gloves—consist of six rarity tiers (Common to Mythic), raising both appearance and stats simultaneously through transcendence and synthesis of identical items. The mount system, 'Guarder,' which aids mobility, also provides passive stat boosts merely by being owned. Core equipment enhancement carries tense risks, introducing stat demotion starting at +5 and destruction risks from +8, while appraisal and locking features allow players to tune desired options. Equipment can be crafted directly using materials gathered from quests and salvage, and great successes yield tradable gear, adding to the thrill of farming.
Pets, reliable companions in battle, focus on the joy of custom creation rather than chasing a meta blueprint. Divided into five types (Animal, Necromancy, Plant, Mystic, and Elemental), pets are obtained by hatching cubes in dungeons and become more powerful through "Inheritance"—passing on another pet's abilities—and "Evolution" at max level. Unneeded pets can be released and converted into "Pet's Heart," an evolution material, serving as fuel for waste-free progression.
An Ecosystem of Fierce Cooperation and Competition Interwoven by Day and Night

Seal M2 organically weaves PvE and PvP together to encourage diverse gameplay styles. Through matchmaking, players can team up in party dungeons with up to four players to defeat bosses, or tackle Pet Vita Dungeons with adjustable difficulty to farm Pet Cubes. In the 'Tower of Sages,' a signature of the Seal series, players objectively prove their progression level by defeating monsters within a time limit. In particular, one of the endgame features, 'Arena of Challenge,' is a seasonal battleground where top-tier players compete in contribution points from Bronze to Gold leagues over seven days, serving as key long-term content where effectively utilizing carefully raised pets determines victory or defeat.
Field environments incorporate day and night cycles, giving rise to even more powerful field bosses when night falls. Players naturally gather to cooperate for valuable rewards, yet find themselves in a dynamic situation where they also compete against each other due to a system that distributes rewards based on contribution. This adventure is brought together by guild communities available from Level 22 and a transparent exchange system. Guild members strengthen their bonds through missions, donations, and item support, organizing systematically through four peerage ranks (Duke, Marquess, Baron, and Count), while driving a free item economy through an exchange equipped with intuitive comparison and search features.
Targeting Release in Q4 2026

Seal M2 is currently under development targeting a release in Q4 2026, with Playwith Games handling development and Playwith Korea serving as publisher. The title is a hybrid MMORPG supporting both mobile and PC platforms. While inheriting the solid identity maintained by the Seal IP over the past 20 years, it aims to set a new standard for online MMORPGs by adding immersion and strategic depth tailored to modern expectations.
