CD Projekt Red, famous for The Witcher and Cyberpunk series, appeared at BlizzCon with news of various collaborations.

On the second day of BlizzCon 2026, the '30 Years of Battle.net With Special Guest CD PROJEKT RED' panel took place at the Anaheim Convention Center. CD Projekt Red Community Manager Amelia Korzycka and Lead Level Designer Miles Tost took the stage to announce the release of 'Cyberpunk 2077' on Battle.net. Players can purchase the base game and the expansion 'Phantom Liberty' separately, or choose 'Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition', which bundles the two together. The release is scheduled for 2026.
Following the previous announcements of 'The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt' joining Battle.net and its collaboration with 'Diablo IV', 'Cyberpunk 2077' will now also be available for purchase through Battle.net.
First launched alongside 'Diablo' in 1996, Battle.net has established itself as the account system and launcher unifying Blizzard's games. Although affiliated titles such as 'Call of Duty' joined following the Activision merger, bringing in titles from an external publisher is considered unusual.
Details on a Geralt skin and a collaboration with Overwatch were also revealed. A Geralt-themed Barbarian skin will be added to 'Diablo IV'. It will be given to players who pre-purchase or purchase after launch The Witcher 3's third expansion, 'Songs of the Past', on Battle.net. Furthermore, more Witcher-themed content will be added in 2027.
In 2027, Overwatch will add collaboration content featuring the Netflix anime series 'Cyberpunk: Edgerunners' and 'Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2', set in the same universe as 'Cyberpunk 2077'. Only the timeline and target IPs were disclosed, with the Overwatch team set to reveal at a later date which heroes will receive which skins.
While the arrival of The Witcher 3 and 'Cyberpunk 2077' on Battle.net remains surprising, analysts note that CD Projekt Red had no reason to hesitate. Both titles have already recorded high cumulative sales across multiple console platforms, and Cyberpunk 2077 has previously joined Xbox Game Pass and launched on Nintendo Switch 2 and macOS. In other words, there was no reason to pass up expanding to an additional distribution channel.
However, specific details regarding Overwatch and 'Cyberpunk 2077', as well as the 2027 Witcher-related content for Diablo IV, were not introduced separately at the event.
