kt Rolster's 'Uta' Lee Ji-hwan defeated BNK FearX's 'Light' Kim Seon-jae 4-2 in the 2026 FSL Summer Grand Final held at the DN Colosseum in Jamsil on September 6 to claim the championship.

In Set 1 of the final, KT's 'Uta' Lee Ji-hwan scored the opening goal with Cha Bum-kun. 'Uta' later earned a penalty kick, but 'Light' saved the attempt and scored an equalizer to tie the match 1-1 in the 32nd minute. Tied 1-1 heading into the second half, 'Light' staged a comeback with a goal by Ronaldo in the 53rd minute. Successfully holding off 'Uta's attacks, 'Light' added another goal to secure a 3-1 win.

In Set 2, 'Uta' had a perfect opportunity early on, but failed to capitalize due to a disappointing finish by Son Heung-min. However, in the 15th minute, he broke through with Cha Bum-kun to deliver a powerful shot for the opening goal, and shortly after in the 22nd minute, added a second goal with Ahn Jung-hwan. 'Uta' kept up his momentum, expanding the lead to 4-0. Although overcoming a 4-0 deficit was practically impossible, 'Light' needed to change the momentum to prepare for the subsequent sets. Fortunately for 'Light', he recovered two goals in the second half, with 'Uta' ultimately taking a 4-2 victory.

With the series tied 1-1 heading into Set 3, 'Light' opened the scoring with Ronaldo in the 12th minute. However, 'Uta' responded with a stunning long-range strike from Ki Sung-yueng in the 30th minute and a header from Ahn Jung-hwan to make it 2-1, before scoring once more right before halftime to take a 3-1 lead. Although 'Light' pulled one goal back early in the second half, 'Uta' added more to claim Set 3 with a 5-3 victory.

In Set 4, played after a draft, 'Light' scored first in the 20th minute of the first half. 'Uta' quickly leveled the game at 1-1, and without rushing in possession, calmly circulated the ball before taking a 2-1 lead with Zidane in the 59th minute. 'Uta' extended his lead to 3-1 with another goal in the 65th minute. 'Light' fought back to close the gap to 2-3, but failed to score again, granting 'Uta' the set victory and putting him within one win of the championship with a 3-1 set lead.

Set 5 was a fiercely contested battle. 'Light' scored first, and the rest of the first half passed without any further goals, followed by intense back-and-forth action in the second half. 'Uta' eventually found an equalizer to send the match into extra time, where 'Light', fighting for survival, reclaimed the lead at 2-1. After the first half of extra time, 'Uta' had only 15 minutes remaining. Ultimately, 'Light' held on for a 2-1 victory, narrowing the set score to 2-3.

In the following Set 6, 'Light' scored the opening goal, but 'Uta' struck back with two goals before halftime to finish the first half up 2-1. 'Light' added another goal in the second half to tie the score at 2-2 in a tightly contested match. However, 'Uta' broke through 'Light's defense once again to make it 3-2 and was awarded a penalty kick in the 88th minute. Although 'Light' miraculously saved the penalty kick, he was unable to produce another goal, allowing 'Uta' to defeat 'Light' with a final set score of 4-2 and emerge as the champion.
