Two story DLCs focusing on the stories of Sephiroth and Vincent will be added to Final Fantasy VII Revelation.

Square Enix revealed the release date for Final Fantasy VII Revelation during State of Play on September 3. Following Final Fantasy VII Remake and Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, Revelation is the final entry concluding the remake project trilogy and is scheduled to release on April 8, 2027.

At the same time, information was revealed regarding additional story content to be offered following the main game's launch. The Story Expansion Pass, which grants access to the two story DLCs, is included in the Premium Edition and Premium Plus Edition. The story DLCs will respectively focus on the stories of Sephiroth, and Vincent alongside the Turks.

The two DLCs are scheduled to be released sequentially between winter 2027 and spring 2028. The Story Expansion Pass will be available for separate purchase after the main game launches, and both story DLCs can also be purchased individually following their release.

Director Naoki Hamaguchi stated on his X account, "Following the announcement of Final Fantasy VII Revelation, we received many requests for DLC from media and fans, which led us to decide to produce them."

He added, "We wanted to share our plans now before launch so it wouldn't feel like a late announcement after the release," and said, "We plan to carefully portray the stories of Sephiroth and Vincent, so please look forward to them."
