On September 2, Pearl Abyss released an update for Black Desert that unifies Life Skill gear, enabling all classes within a Family to share equipment.

Following the update, all owned Life Skill gear can be managed in a single equipment window. The system that previously required players to separately equip Life Skill gear whenever switching characters has also been improved. A feature to save and instantly apply gear presets for each Life Skill activity has been added, along with changes to certain Lightstone combinations and the removal of durability for Alchemy Stones used in combat and Life Skill content.

The update also introduced "Merv's Silver Needle and Knot," a new item system that applies functional outfit effects directly to gear. Using Merv's Silver Needle, players can craft various outfit effects—such as Hunting, Cultivation, and Alchemy—into Knots and apply them to equipment.

A new accessory, the "Orb of Clarity," was also unveiled. It grants up to a 90% increase in Life EXP depending on its enhancement level. Its enhancement material, the "Crystal of Clarity," can be obtained by heating Essence of Dawn, Trace of Nature, and Magical Lightstone Crystals.

The "Special Login Rewards Part 2" event from July's Heidel Ball will run until October 20. Based on cumulative login days, players can receive rewards including 4 Mythical Censers, up to 13,000 Cron Stones, and 3 Causality Hammers. The Causality Hammer can be used to enhance Ekreta and Aperon accessories enhanced to PRI (I) or higher.

A Training and Gathering Hot Time event will also run until September 16. During this period, players earn an additional 50% Gathering, Training, and Mount EXP, while the amount of Flowers of Oblivion obtained from Imperial Horse Delivery is doubled. Completing quests from Lorenzo Murray in Velia yields rewards such as the "[Event] Gula's Courser Training Selection Box" and "Unbridled Celerity Draught."
