Bandai Namco Entertainment Korea will release 'Mask of Idris,' an expansion DLC for the dramatic exploration action RPG 'Code Vein II,' on September 9 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam.

'Mask of Idris' is set in the 'Forsaken World,' a realm where the lingering desires of people who lived in worlds erased by altered history converge. Players will explore the world alongside a new character and engage in another battle.

Completing the DLC story unlocks 'Another Color' versions that allow players to select alternate colors for a total of 14 Buddy characters, including Liv. Unlocked Buddies can also be used after transferring save data and restarting the story.

To play the DLC, a save file that has reached the second ending, 'Luna Fraterna,' at least once is required. Additionally, players must progress through 'Friend's Request: Valentin' up to the quest 'Exchange Opinions with Valentin: Book of Mag Mell Island.'

Additional content for the free Update Ver.2.0 was also revealed. Set in the post-ending era titled 'Age of Harmony,' players can experience short character-specific episodes, discover new Blood Codes, and explore the world with their choice of Buddy.

In the boss rush content 'Trial of Remembrance,' players can challenge previously encountered bosses and enemies once again and earn over 90 customization parts themed after them. Features such as Jadwiga Buddy summoning, a Story Mode that strengthens the player character, and Shader Options to alter character visual rendering are also added.

Photo Mode gains over 30 new poses and more than 20 photo frames. The Jukebox allows players to listen to select tracks from the 'Code Vein,' 'Code Vein II,' and 'God Eater' series.

Ahead of the DLC release, Bandai Namco Entertainment Korea also released a story recap trailer summarizing the main narrative of 'Code Vein II.'
