Long Play Studio officially unveiled the open-world zombie survival game 'Terminus: Zombie Survivors 2' on the 2nd and launched its Steam store page.
'Terminus: Zombie Survivors 2' is the sequel to the turn-based survival roguelike 'Terminus: Zombie Survivors'. Replacing the top-down pixel art of its predecessor, the game features realistic, full 3D graphics and an isometric perspective, as well as varied terrain and structure elevations. It also incorporates enhanced environmental effects utilizing weather conditions such as rain, fog, and wet road surfaces.
Survivors search the city to secure materials and food, engaging in activities such as cooking, crafting, building, farming, and fishing. Players must maintain fires to protect against rain, snow, and cold, and rely on flashlights to move around at night.
The game's world has evolved from the original's node-based system—where players selected zones to travel—into a seamless open world. Players can directly travel between towns, forests, and highways, discovering supplies and traces of other survivors in locations such as motels, gas stations, supermarkets, and hospitals.
The goal is to survive in a zombie-infested city and reach the safe zone at the terminal station (terminus). The entire journey can be played in either single-player or online co-op mode.
Long Play Studio explained that it is developing the game to expand the survival experience of the original into a larger and deeper world, allowing players to feel hunger, cold, and darkness more intimately through realistic graphics.
'Terminus: Zombie Survivors 2' is currently in development targeting a PC release via Steam. It is planned to support Korean, English, Simplified and Traditional Chinese, Japanese, German, and French.
