The Korea e-Sports Association (KeSPA) announced on the 2nd that the regular season of the '2026 School League', featuring school representative teams, has officially kicked off.
The 'School League' is a regular inter-school competition that utilizes campus esports infrastructure, such as computer labs. Participating teams consist of official representative teams approved by their school principals, designed to allow students to gain team training and regular match experience while continuing their studies.
In the preseason, Eunpyeong Meditech High School won titles in League of Legends (hereafter LoL) and Valorant, while Korea Game Science High School claimed victory in PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS. LoL champions Eunpyeong Meditech High School also earned a spot in the second-half Academy League of the LCK Academy Series (LCK AS).
The regular season runs from the 2nd through November 18. Matches will take place every Wednesday starting at 5:30 p.m., with the final winning school to be determined at the National Finals of the National Middle and High School Esports Competition held from December 12 to 13.
For LoL, nine teams compete in a single-group double round-robin format. Valorant features 12 teams divided into two groups competing in a group-stage double round-robin. PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS will feature 36 total matches—four matches per week—with final standings determined by accumulated points.
The '2026 School League' is hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and organized by the Korea e-Sports Association. It is sponsored by Riot Games, Supercell, KRAFTON, Samsung, Micronics, and the Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA).
