Gen.G Esports answered by locking down Lee 'PerfecT' Seung-min's Jayce with Park 'Ruler' Jae-hyuk's Ashe ultimate for first blood, then caught out Zeri while she was defending mid lane via an ambush from Kim 'Canyon' Geon-bu.

After taking these consecutive blows, kt Rolster caught Kim 'Kiin' Ki-in's Aatrox in a side lane and executed a bold mid dive to eliminate Gen.G's bot duo, taking a breath. Meanwhile, Gen.G Esports secured their third dragon stack and picked off the isolated Jayce. However, right ahead of the dragon Soul fight, Gwak 'Bdd' Bo-seong's Galio pulled off a spectacular play by canceling Jeong 'Chovy' Ji-hoon's Akali Teleport while completing his own, leading kt Rolster to a decisive teamfight victory and interrupting Gen.G's dragon stacking.

Around the 28-minute mark, Gen.G Esports' Chemtech Dragon Soul appeared once more. This time, Gen.G Esports grouped up to strike the dragon first and secured a clean Ace in the following teamfight. It was a textbook teamfight setup—Cho'Gath focused down the dragon while Aatrox held the front line, Akali tore through the backline, and Ashe poured out raw damage.

Claiming Baron as their prize, Gen.G Esports pushed up the top lane. Galio was taken down instantly after getting hit by Ashe's ultimate, allowing Gen.G Esports to quickly shatter both the top and mid inhibitors. Ultimately, Gen.G Esports brought the match to a close by securing another clean Ace in the final teamfight in front of the bottom inhibitor.
