
The Busan Indie Connect Festival Organizing Committee (BIC Organizing Committee) announced that it has concluded the online festival for 'Busan Indie Connect Festival 2026 (BIC Festival 2026, hereinafter BIC 2026),' which ran from August 7 to August 28.
According to the BIC Organizing Committee, visitors to the official website during the event exceeded 1.63 million, a 41.5% increase year-over-year. Game downloads reached over 17,000, up 36.3%, while total game views rose 14.1% to around 120,000.
Marking its 12th anniversary this year, BIC 2026 received 856 entries from 57 countries. Following evaluations, 332 titles from 42 countries met visitors online and offline. The online festival took place via the official BIC website, a Steam Sale page, and a STOVE collaboration page.
Event impressions on the Steam Sale page surged 260.7% from 2.22 million last year to over 8.01 million. Page views also jumped 665.3% from around 14,000 last year to over 110,000.
Prior to the online event, the three-day offline festival drew 42,249 visitors, up approximately 10.4% year-over-year. To conclude the online festival, the BIC Organizing Committee also held an 'Online After Party' on its official integrated Discord channel. The event featured on-site photo reviews, developer behind-the-scenes talks, sharing of acceptance speeches, and game quizzes.
BIC Organizing Committee Chairman Joo Sung-pil said, "We are grateful that we could promote BIC to gamers worldwide through Steam this year," adding, "We will continue to utilize various channels to expand opportunities for developers and gamers to connect."
