PlayStation will present two shows back-to-back on September 3.

Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) announced on its official blog on the 31st that it will broadcast 'State of Play' and 'State of Play Japan' back-to-back. The two broadcasts airing that day will follow one another without interruption, each featuring distinct content.

Part 1, State of Play, will be filled with updates and new announcements from PlayStation Studios and third-party partners. The showcase will conclude with an extended trailer for Square Enix's 'Final Fantasy VII Revelation'. First revealed at Summer Game Fest in June, 'Final Fantasy VII Revelation' is the final chapter of the 'Final Fantasy VII Remake' trilogy. It previously reconfirmed its Spring 2027 release window during gamescom's pre-show broadcast, Opening Night Live, in August. While the exact scope of new information to be revealed during this broadcast has not been confirmed, attention is focused on it as the game's first major public showing since gamescom.

Immediately after Part 1 concludes, Part 2, State of Play Japan, will follow. Hosted once again by voice actor Yuki Kaji following the previous Japan event, it will focus in-depth on new titles from Japanese and Asian game studios. State of Play Japan will also include new gameplay footage and announcements. As the event has historically served as a platform to highlight mid-tier and smaller-scale games from local Japanese developers, a similar lineup is expected for this broadcast.

The broadcast will begin at 10:00 PM KST on September 3 and can be viewed on the PlayStation YouTube channel. State of Play will be conducted in English, while State of Play Japan will be presented in Japanese.
