The Pokémon Company announced on August 31 that a new update will be implemented on September 9 for 'Pokémon Champions' (hereinafter Pokémon Champions), co-planned and produced with GAME FREAK Inc. and developed by The Pokémon Works.

'Regulation M-C' will be applied from this update until December 2 at 10:59 AM. Multiple Pokémon, including Mega Absol Z, Mega Lucario Z, and Mega Garchomp Z, are also set to be added.

Regulations are rules that determine the Pokémon and held items eligible for battle each season. In 'Regulation M-C', specific Pokémon holding a Mega Stone can Mega Evolve, and Mega Evolution can be used only once per battle.

Mega Absol Z is a Dark/Ghost-type Disaster Pokémon featuring the 'Sharpness' Ability, which increases the power of slicing moves by 1.5 times. Mega Garchomp Z, a Dragon-type Mach Pokémon, is unaffected by Ground-type moves as well as hazards such as Spikes, Toxic Spikes, and Sticky Web through its 'Levitate' Ability.

Mega Lucario Z possesses the Ability 'Aura Guard', introduced for the first time in 'Pokémon Champions'. This Ability halves damage taken from contact moves.
